Situated between Brisbane and Sydney, Coffs Harbour is an excellent place to explore for its many outdoor activities. With its ideal subtropical climate and stretches of relaxing beaches, this is a perfect getaway. There are plenty of tourist attractions for singles, couples and families. It’s also a great base for day trips, so hiring a motorhome is super convenient to explore the many sceneries along New South Wales’ north coast.

Coffs Harbour is widely known for its leafy banana plantations. The best way to take in these hills, sandy beaches and city skyline is atop the Sealy Lookout, which is a ten-minute drive from the city. This is where you’ll find Forest Sky Pier, which sits fifteen metres above the forest. You’ll never forget the views from this special spot. As Coffs is proud of its banana plantations, be sure to also snap a photo of the Big Banana monument next to the highway. Enter the Big Banana Fun Park for some water slides and taboggan rides.

There are many family friendly activities to partake in at this tourist destination. Swim with seals and dolphins at Dolphin Marine Magic. Walk among hundreds of butterflies at the indoor rainforest in the Butterfly House. Learn to surf at Lee Winkler’s Surf School. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, try white water rafting with Wildwater Adventure or go sky diving with Coffs Sky Divers. There are also plenty of water activities, including scuba diving, snorkelling and fishing. There is an activity suitable for everyone in this fun part of Australia.

There are so many tourist attractions at Coffs Harbour, as well as numerous potential day trips to embark on. Drive your motorhome to Dorrigo National Park for the day, which is a World Heritage Area with plenty of breathtaking views. You can also head to Macksville if you enjoy fishing and boating. Ask our friendly team for more recommendations for things to see and do. Our Coffs Harbour depot is located at Watson’s RV, which is only nine kilometres from the airport and 3 kilometres from the city centre. We look forward to hearing from you!
